The Crispy Fried Chicken is a typically American preparation, made famous by some fast food chains all over the world, one of them the renowned KFC.
The Crispy Fried Chicken is quite simple and quick to prepare but the end result you will get will be really delicious and incredible. The fundamental secret of this recipe is the so-called Buttermilk, a serum with a decidedly sour taste, which is nothing more than the transformation of the cream into butter.
- 1 big chicken
- 1 ½ cup of buttermilk
- 1 cup 00 flour
- 1 tablespoon paprika powder
- Salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Start with the chicken. This, in fact, will go into the buttermilk, where it will be left to soak for a few minutes.
Waiting for this, put in a plastic bag the flour, salt, pepper and paprika according to your taste. So set yourself on the quantities. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, drain it well and then add it inside the bag.
Continue this way until you have inserted all the chicken. At this point shake the bag gently to see the surface of your chicken sprinkle completely with flour.
Alternatively, however, pass easily the chicken on a plate where you have mixed together the flour and spices. In this way, however, the step will take more time.
When the chicken is ready, remove it from the bag and lay it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, cover with plastic wrap.
When the chicken has rested and the flour is completely soaked in buttermilk, cook the Crispy Fried Chicken. In a high-frying pan, add the oil and bring it to temperature. When the oil is very hot, add the chicken pieces and soak it completely in the oil. Brown for about 3 minutes and turn them so as to have a perfect result on both sides.
When the Crispy Fried Chicken is golden brown, lower the temperature of the oil and cover with a lid allowing to cook for about half an hour. Only in this way the chicken will cook inside but it will remain deliciously crunchy even on the outside.
At this point, remove the Crispy Fried Chicken from the oil and place it on a dish covered with absorbent paper so as to lose excess oil. All that remains is to serve the Crispy Fried Chicken still warm to your guests.
