Trick or treat? These Ghost Halloween Cupcakes are so amazing, moist and so good, perfect for Halloween celebrations!
An easy recipe for a great result. Let’s make them step by step and surprise your guests with such a scary dessert!
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup 00 flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 and 1/2 cups butter
- 2 cups marshmallow fluff
- 1 teaspoon heavy cream
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- Halloween eye candies
First of all, preheat oven at 350°F and line a muffin mold with cupcake cups.
Mix butter, sugar and cocoa powder and add some boiling water. Beat until smooth.
In another bowl mix 00 flour, baking powder and baking soda. Beat egg and sour cream in another bowl and add dry ingredients. Add the butter and sugar mixture and keep mixing until you get a moist mixture.
Now the batter is ready so you can pour it into the cupcake cup, 2/3 full. Bake for 25 minutes. if you want to be sure the cupcakes are ready, insert a toothpick in the center of a cupcake: if it comes out clean it is perfectly cooked. Let cool for 10 minutes.
Now make the frosting. In a bowl combine butter and marshmallow fluff until smooth.
Add the heavy cream and slowly the confectioners sugar. Mix for 1 minute and then frost your cupcakes. Decorate with Halloween eyes or some chocolate chips.
Store the Ghost Halloween Cupcakes for one day.
Make the frosting one day ahead, if you prefer. Cover it and store it in the fridge until you use it.
