The stuffed pate brisée bundles are appetizers easy to prepare but, at the same time, particular and original.
They are perfect to prepare in advance and to serve on many occasions, especially for enriching rustic buffets. Excellent to eat warm, everybody will enjoy their filling.
Let’s see together how to prepare some excellent stuffed pate brisée bundles and some interesting variations.
- 2 rolls of pate brisée
- 300 g cooked ham
- 200 g provola
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon milk
- sesame seeds
Start from the filling. Embed the cheese completely inside the ham, to make a wrap for a perfect result.
Take your cheese and fold it around the ham in order to have it perfectly inside.
Leave the rolls of pate brisée out of the fridge for about ten minutes. Open it on the work surface. Make some disk with a food ring mold. Choose the size you prefer according to the effect you want to achieve.
Take a disc of dough and place it on the work surface. Add the filling and close with another disc of pate brisée.
Close the edges carefully. Press well the disc with your hands and seal them with a fork. Make all your bundles and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
In a bowl, mix egg yolk and a spoonful of milk and brush the whole surface of your bundles. Decorate each bundle with sesame seeds.
Place the bundles in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 20 minutes. When the surface is well golden, take them out of the oven. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving to your guests.
Store the stuffed pate brisée bundles for a couple of days at most.
Heat in the microwave before consuming them again. They are very good just baked. The filling can vary according to your tastes.
